Professional Statement

Originally from Canberra, Caroline completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle and worked as a junior doctor there and in Western Sydney for three years. She then undertook specialist anaesthetic training in Sydney, based at the Prince of Wales Hospital, before returning to Canberra to complete her Fellowship. Caroline has practiced in both the public and private systems in Canberra since 2005 regularly providing anaesthesia for a wide range of surgical specialties, with a special interest in anaesthesia for obstetrics, gynaecology and fertility, orthopaedics, ENT and breast surgery.

Caroline is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and actively participates in their Continuing Professional Development activities. She is currently the ACT representative on the Australian Society of Anaesthetists Professional Issues Advisory Committee and has previously served on the ANZCA ACT regional committee.

Caroline is an Executive Board Committee Member (Overseas Aid Gift Deduction Scheme Public Fund Committee) for the maternal health charity Send Hope Not Flowers, and is one of the founding members and directors of Anaesthetic Consultants.

Caroline's other interests include spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, reading, and travelling.
